Light diffusing agent is a silicone resin microsphere with a microstructure of spherical elastomer, mainly used in PC, PS, PMMA, PP and other plastics to achieve light diffusion effects. The spherical microspheres are uniformly dispersed in the substrate, utilizing the refractive index difference with the substrate to scatter light, achieving high haze and high transmittance uniform light output.
The silicone series offers excellent water resistance and superior heat resistance (high temperature resistance up to 300°C), along with excellent lubrication properties that can improve plastic processing flowability. The PMMA series has a refractive index of 1.49, providing higher compatibility with PMMA substrates, suitable for conventional temperature applications.
The core advantages of light diffusing agent are: stable haze, high brightness, high transmittance, and low addition amount. Only 0.5~2.0% addition is needed to achieve excellent light diffusion effects, far below traditional inorganic fillers, reducing the impact on substrate mechanical properties.
