R&D Center
As a professional team in China's powder industry, Hico has been focusing on the development and research of functional powder materials for more than ten years since its establishment. Starting from single powders and single modification agents and advancing to compounded powders and multiple modification agents, Hico people have always upheld the mission of "innovating materials for a better human life", and have kept deepening and accumulating value in their core barrier — "technical services". From original scientific research and technological innovation in powders to a fundamental laboratory, an application laboratory and large-scale manufacturing facilities, we have now achieved phased results in the global field of powder modification, coating and compounding, and hold a leading position.
Functional Powder Technology Innovation Institute
In Hefei, together with Hefei University, we established an institute for original scientific research and technological innovation in functional powders. Working with many of China's leading professors and expert teams in powder technology, we lay out forward-looking topics and directions in advance. Its main research directions are fundamental research on functional powders, thermally conductive materials, resin microspheres, hollow microspheres and more, fully demonstrating the appeal of the "industry, academia, research and application" model in new materials.
Fundamental Laboratory
Hico's fundamental laboratory is located in Dongguan and covers an area of 500 m². It mainly handles the testing of fundamental powder indicators such as whiteness, particle size, oil absorption value, loss on ignition, composition analysis and electrical conductivity. At the same time, it provides all-round services for powder modification and compounding, such as sample preparation, modified powders, compounding and sintering performance.
Application Laboratory
Hico's application laboratory mainly serves customers in the coatings, plastics and rubber industries. It simulates downstream production processes and formulations, and turns Hico's product series into different systems and solutions to assist downstream customers with formulation optimisation and guidance. The equipment commonly used includes vacuum kneaders and internal mixers, tensile testing machines, multi-function rapid thermal conductivity meters, oxygen index testers and horizontal/vertical burning testers.
Large-Scale Manufacturing Facilities
After more than ten years of accumulation, Hico has built up a team of professional technical R&D staff and support service personnel. In Huangjiang, Dongguan, we have a 5,000 m² operations and warehousing centre handling 200+ orders per day. For powder modification, compounding and related process and technology R&D, our Dongguan and Heyuan plants are equipped with multiple sets of sample testing machines, 2 pilot production lines and 3 large-scale modified composite production lines, meeting most of our downstream customers' requirements for production processes and technical formulations.
